Job Summary
This role involves leading the design and development of complex communication PCBs for telecommunications and industrial automation. As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will manage the entire product lifecycle from initial system concept and hardware architecture to serial production. Your day-to-day will involve designing power trees and interfaces, conducting rigorous debugging of EMC and SI/PI issues in the lab, and ensuring designs meet international safety and reliability standards. You will act as a technical owner, collaborating closely with firmware, layout, and manufacturing teams while mentoring junior engineers. This position is particularly attractive for those who enjoy high-tech projects in network technology and want to influence internal design standards. The role offers a path toward Technical Lead or Principal Engineer positions within a well-established engineering firm known for its flat hierarchies and modern development environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical degree (University/Fachhochschule) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable technical qualification.
Experience
- Extensive professional experience in the design and simulation of complex modern circuits
- Proven track record in hardware development from requirement analysis to serial production
- Experience with high-speed interfaces such as DDR4, PCIe, and Ethernet
- Practical experience in laboratory debugging and using protocol analyzers
- Experience in mentoring junior or mid-level hardware developers
- Background in telecommunications or industrial automation sectors is preferred
