As a Data Scientist within the AI team at DAK-Gesundheit, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making for one of Germany's largest health insurance providers. Based in Hamburg, you will collaborate closely with specialized departments to translate operational challenges into machine learning solutions, specifically focusing on hospital invoice auditing and efficiency gains. Your day-to-day will involve analyzing statutory health insurance (GKV) routine data, developing and testing ML models, and overseeing the transition of prototypes into production environments in coordination with DevOps teams. Required Skills
Education
University degree in a STEM field, Business Informatics, Economics, Health Economics, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in Machine Learning and statistical analysis
- Experience in developing and operating productive analytical applications and MLOps processes is preferred
- Experience in the healthcare sector, specifically with statutory health insurance (GKV) or hospital contexts, is highly desirable
- Entry-level candidates are considered if they possess a strong methodological profile in Machine Learning (e.g., through research or a PhD)
