As an Energy Management Technician at OTH Regensburg, you will play a vital role in establishing and advancing the university's energy monitoring infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities will involve setting up measurement systems to track energy KPIs, generating detailed energy reports, and analyzing consumption patterns to optimize building efficiency. You will work closely with the Building and Technology department to implement energy-saving strategies, optimize building control systems, and support the integration of renewable energy technologies. You will also provide support within the wider electrical engineering department, including telecommunications systems. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in the electrical field plus additional qualification as a Master Electrician (Elektrotechnikermeister) or State-Certified Electrical Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker der Elektrotechnik), or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in energy management or energy consulting is highly desirable
  • Experience in energy data collection and reporting
  • Practical experience in the application of ISO 50001 and environmental management systems like EMAS
  • Technical experience in network and database administration
  • Background in electrical systems maintenance and building control technology
