Job Summary

As a Senior Hardware Developer, you will take full ownership of the development lifecycle for analog and digital electronic circuits, focusing on sensor front-ends, signal processing, and microcontroller circuits. Your day-to-day responsibilities include creating circuit concepts, designing schematics and PCB layouts, and coordinating with external suppliers for board production. You will work closely with the software team to develop low-level firmware and oversee the mechanical and electrical assembly of prototypes. The role is highly technical, requiring you to perform troubleshooting, optimization, and documentation for quality assurance. This position is particularly attractive due to its 35-hour work week, attractive salary, and the long-term prospect of transitioning into a Product Management role for sensor technology. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. or equivalent) with specialized knowledge in microcontrollers, firmware, and measurement technology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the development of analog and digital electronic circuits and signal processing
  • Professional experience in creating circuit diagrams and PCB layouts including supplier management
  • Experience in firmware development for microcontrollers using C or C++ is preferred
  • Proven experience in EMC-compliant design and electrical safety testing
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic circuits
  • Professional background in interdisciplinary fields combining mechanics, electrical engineering, and software
