Job Summary
As an IT Specialist for Unix/Linux, you will join the IT Basic Operations team responsible for the 24/7 maintenance of internal IT infrastructure services that support critical digital radio communications for emergency services and government agencies. Your daily work involves managing high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) systems, ensuring smooth operations across servers, storage, and middleware. You will translate functional requirements into technical solutions, implement IT security guidelines, and drive the modernization of IT services through automation and project work. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; alternatively, completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the installation, configuration, and management of RHEL systems
- Experience in managing and automating systems using Red Hat Satellite
- Experience in automating IT tasks and processes using Ansible Playbooks is preferred
- Experience in implementing operational and technical IT security standards
- Professional experience in a 24/7 high-availability IT operations environment
