Job Summary

This role involves managing the PCB technology department at the Chair of Sensor Technology and Measurement Systems at the University of Wuppertal. As a Laboratory Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of printed circuit boards, including circuit design, layout optimization, and manufacturing processes. You will play a vital role in academic operations by organizing laboratory activities, preparing practical courses, and providing technical guidance to students. Beyond teaching support, you will contribute to research and development projects involving microcontroller-based systems. This position is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys a mix of technical hands-on work and academic administration. Required Skills

Education

University degree (FH Diploma or Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable engineering field.

Experience

  • Proven professional experience in PCB technology, specifically in testing, design, and manufacturing
  • Practical experience in electronic circuit design and PCB layout creation
  • Experience in the use of circuit and PCB design software
  • Experience in organizing and managing laboratory operations
  • Experience in supporting or conducting teaching and laboratory events is preferred
