Job Summary
As an Environmental Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance and driving sustainability for a medium-sized chemical company specializing in adhesives and cleaning agents. Your daily responsibilities will involve managing waste and material flows, overseeing environmental law compliance (including emissions and water protection), and further developing the environmental management system according to ISO 14001 standards. You will also coordinate national and international packaging legislation requirements. This position is ideal for a structured professional who enjoys a mix of administrative documentation, internal auditing, and operational consulting. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training or degree in environmental, technical, or natural science fields (e.g., Environmental Technician, Certified Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), or Chemical Laboratory Assistant with environmental qualifications).
Experience
- Professional experience in handling waste and organizing waste disposal processes
- Practical experience in implementing environmental, waste, or packaging regulations
- Experience in the setup or operation of environmental management systems according to ISO 14001
- Proven experience in administrative documentation and regulatory reporting
- Experience working with ERP systems, preferably MS Navision

- Willingness to acquire formal qualifications as a Waste Management Officer or Environmental Management Officer if not already held. Must be able to work on-site in Haiger, Germany.
