Job Summary
As a Senior IT Manager at Berlin Energie und Netzholding (BEN) GmbH, you will lead the strategic transformation and modernization of the company's IT landscape. Operating within the Corporate Security department, you will hold functional responsibility for a small team focusing on information security and IT service operations. Your day-to-day work involves developing and implementing a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with corporate climate goals, establishing an IT governance framework, and ensuring high service quality from external providers. You will be instrumental in documenting IT processes, including runbooks and playbooks, while bridging the gap between resilience strategy, business continuity, and digitalization. This role offers significant creative freedom in a state-owned holding company that is central to Berlin's energy transition. It is an ideal position for a strategic thinker who enjoys both technical oversight and functional leadership in a growing organizational structure.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in (Business) Informatics, Information Technology, IT Management, or a comparable field; alternatively, extensive relevant professional experience for career changers.
Experience
- Several years of experience in implementing and developing IT strategies, enterprise architecture, and IT projects
- Several years of operational experience in IT operations, specifically with cloud-based office and business systems
- Professional experience in functional leadership and project management of small teams
- Extensive experience in IT Service Management and modern IT environments
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and coordinating external IT service providers
