Job Summary

This role is based at the Weights and Measures Office in Leipzig within a DAkkS-accredited calibration laboratory specializing in force measurement. As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of calibration orders for force measuring devices (up to 600 kN) and material testing machines (up to 5 MN). Your daily activities will include preparing quotes, performing technical measurements, ensuring quality assurance, and handling billing. A unique aspect of this position is the structured multi-stage induction process designed to prepare you for the role of Deputy Laboratory Manager. The position offers a stable public service contract (TV-L 9a) with flexible working hours and no core times. Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician or Master Craftsman (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker or Meister) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable technical field.

Experience

  • Professional experience as a State-certified Technician or Master Craftsman in Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in planning and executing calibration orders from quotation to invoicing
  • Experience with force measuring devices and material testing machines is highly advantageous
  • Practical experience in mechanical and electrical/electronic maintenance and repair
  • Proven driving experience with a Class B license
