Job Summary
The Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI) at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is seeking a Data Steward Coordinator to lead and manage research data management activities. This role involves coordinating initiatives across TUM, including NFDI consortia, and establishing the TUM-Research Data Hub. The coordinator will advise on data management and data science topics, document best practices, and foster collaboration among various departments and projects. Key responsibilities include disseminating knowledge through training and workshops, organizing events with industry and academic partners, and managing diverse projects. This position offers the opportunity to significantly influence the data science ecosystem at TUM and Munich, working within an international and interdisciplinary environment.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or higher, preferably in Engineering, IT Management, or Data Management/Data Science related fields
Experience
- Proven experience in data or information management, or related fields (e.g., Data Science, Data Quality Assurance, Data Steward activities)
- Experience in project management, including coordinating workshops and seminars
- Experience in conducting training in data management and/or data science (advantageous)
- Experience in providing administrative services, ideally with IT systems, IT services, and operating systems
