This full-time role involves conducting critical environmental analysis at a modern wastewater treatment facility serving approximately 100,000 residents and industrial partners. As a Laboratory Technician, your daily responsibilities will include the physical, chemical, and microscopic examination of municipal and industrial wastewater and sludge samples. You will be responsible for documenting test results, performing plausibility checks, and maintaining and calibrating sophisticated measuring equipment. A key technical aspect of the role involves working with instrumental analytics, specifically ICP-OES. The position offers a high degree of responsibility, including providing support and acting as a deputy for the Laboratory Manager. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Laboratory Technician or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in environmental, water, or wastewater analysis is preferred but not mandatory
- Experience in instrumental analytics, specifically Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), is desirable
- Experience in documenting test results and performing plausibility checks
- Experience in the maintenance and calibration of laboratory measuring equipment
