Job Summary
This role offers a leadership opportunity within the finance department of a prestigious non-profit foundation in the heart of Berlin. As the Team Lead for Financial Accounting and Annual Statements, you will be responsible for the technical and organizational management of the accounting team, ensuring the accurate preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB). Your daily activities will include steering accounting processes, monitoring the use of funds, and preparing tax returns, specifically VAT and withholding tax. You will also play a key role in digitalizing financial processes within the ERP system. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/FH) in Business Administration, Administrative Science, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, including the preparation of annual financial statements
- Experience in an organization operating under both commercial (HGB) and budgetary law is preferred
- Professional experience within a non-profit organization, foundation, or the cultural/museum sector is advantageous
- Initial leadership or supervisory experience is preferred
- Proven experience in managing accounting processes and tax reporting
