Job Summary
As an Automation Specialist at ELWEMA Automotive, you will be responsible for the end-to-end software development and programming of PLC systems within the electrical design department. Your daily activities will involve creating software interfaces for higher-level control and process data systems, as well as validating these programs using virtual commissioning tools. A significant portion of the role includes hands-on commissioning of specialized machinery both at the Ellwangen site and at international customer locations. You will also provide essential on-site service and training for clients. This position is ideal for those who enjoy technical problem-solving and are willing to travel globally (approximately 30%). Required Skills
Education
Technical vocational training with further qualification as a State-Certified Technician or a comparable technical degree.
Experience
- Professional experience in PLC programming or automation technology
- Experience with Siemens Step 7/TIA Portal or Rockwell Studio 5000 environments
- Experience in commissioning machinery both in-house and at customer sites
- Experience in creating software interfaces for process data systems
