Job Summary
This role involves actively contributing to environmental protection by restoring ecological continuity to the Moselle River and managing flood protection systems. Working for the Structural and Approval Directorate North (SGD Nord) in Koblenz, you will participate in the planning and construction of fish passage facilities and flood control structures. Your daily responsibilities will include managing procurement processes for construction and professional services, coordinating with authorities, and supervising engineering firms across all HOAI phases. You will also be responsible for on-site construction supervision, budget planning, and contract management. Required Skills
Education
State-certified Technician (Staatlich geprüfter Techniker) specializing in Civil Engineering (preferably Civil/Structural Engineering), Environmental Technology, or Environmental Protection Technology.
Experience
- Professional experience in planning and construction supervision of hydraulic or civil engineering projects
- Experience in applying VOB (Construction Contract Procedures) and HOAI (Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers)
- Experience in tender processes and procurement for construction and professional services
- Experience in managing engineering firms and on-site construction management

- Valid Class B (or 3) driver's license required. Must be physically fit for field service and willing to use a private vehicle for business travel if necessary.
