Job Summary

This role involves working within a dedicated project group at the SGD Nord to restore the ecological continuity of the Moselle River. As a Civil Engineer, you will primarily focus on the planning and construction of new fish passage facilities at dams along the German stretch of the river. Your day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating planning services, managing permit applications, and overseeing procurement processes for both engineering and construction services in accordance with VOB and HOAI regulations. You will act as a bridge between authorities and engineering firms, providing local site supervision and project management. This position is ideal for those passionate about environmental protection and hydraulic engineering. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Engineering, or Diploma in Civil Engineering (preferably with a focus on Hydraulic Engineering) or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and construction supervision of hydraulic or civil engineering projects
  • Practical experience in applying VOB and HOAI regulations
  • Experience in coordinating with authorities and managing external engineering consultants
  • Experience in local site management and construction oversight
