Job Summary
The City of Altenburg is seeking an Electrical Engineer to manage client-side responsibilities for technical building equipment projects. In this role, you will define project goals, manage costs and financing, and oversee the entire lifecycle of planning and construction contracts. Your day-to-day will involve technical planning for power systems, telecommunications, and building automation according to HOAI standards. You will also be responsible for organizing maintenance, emergency repairs, and optimizing energy efficiency across municipal technical installations. Required Skills
Education
University Degree (Diploma/Master/Bachelor) in Supply Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification. Foreign degrees must have official recognition from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB).
Experience
- Professional experience in technical building equipment and electrical engineering
- Experience in managing planning and construction contracts including fee auditing
- Experience with public procurement procedures and regulations (VOB, VgV, ThürVgG)
- Experience in technical building assessment and maintenance organization
- Proven ability in conceptual thinking and independent project execution

- Full-time (39 hours) or part-time (35 hours) available. Must be able to provide recognition of foreign engineering qualifications if applicable. Position involves regular task-related further training.
