Job Summary

As a Test Engineer for Electrical Systems, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and documentation of automated electrical functional tests for power electronic components and systems. Your daily activities involve implementing system tests within Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments, following industry standards such as VW80000 or MBN LV 124. You will analyze requirements to derive comprehensive test specifications and strategies, while also developing and documenting innovative testing methods. A significant portion of the role includes programming automated test procedures using tools like Python or CAPL and interpreting results to provide technical consultancy to development departments and clients. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in testing and validating power electronic components, preferably within the automotive sector
  • Experience in software and hardware testing methodologies such as Blackbox and Whitebox testing
  • Practical knowledge in using requirement management tools like DOORS and task management via JIRA
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols and Vector-based testing environments
