Job Summary
As an Information and Communication Technology Specialist at Bayernwerk Netz GmbH, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy by managing and securing the backbone and access transport networks (MPLS-TP, DWDM, and SDH systems). Operating within a Network Operation Center (NOC) environment, your day-to-day responsibilities include the rapid analysis and resolution of technical faults, implementing new hardware into management systems, and coordinating complex network expansions. You will act as a technical lead for operators during maintenance and critical situations, ensuring the reliable distribution of energy to millions of customers. Required Skills
Education
Completed technical vocational training with further qualification as a Master Craftsman (Meister), Technician, or IT Specialist; or a University Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Communications Engineering.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in the operational management of broadband wide area network (WAN) technologies from major manufacturers
- Proven experience working within a Network Operation Center (NOC) environment
- Experience in leading operational units and making sound decisions during fast-paced emergency situations
- Practical experience in implementing and maintaining complex network services and hardware
Languages
Additional
- Must pass a security clearance check in accordance with the Security Clearance Act (SÜG/SÜFV). Participation in a 2nd level technical on-call rotation is required. Fixed-term contract for three years.
