Job Summary
As an Energy Manager for the Municipality of Inden, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the community's sustainable future. This position involves the independent establishment of a comprehensive energy management system and the project management of energy-efficient renovations for municipal buildings. Day-to-day, you will implement climate protection measures to reduce building emissions, provide expert advice on energy requirements, and identify optimization potential across municipal properties. A significant part of the role includes communicating with citizens, local businesses, and authorities to ensure a holistic approach to climate goals. This position is particularly attractive for professionals who want to lead high-impact environmental projects within a creative small team, offering significant autonomy and flexible working hours under the public service collective agreement (TVöD).
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Natural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or Business (with technical experience); or Master Craftsman/Technician in Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Energy and Building Technology, or Renewable Energies.
Experience
- Professional experience in technical fields if holding a business degree
- Proven experience in project management
- Experience in energy management systems and relevant standards (ISO 50001)
- Experience in conceptual work and implementation of energy-saving measures
- Experience in technical building services or environmental technology

- Fixed-term contract for three years according to § 14 Para. 2 TzBfG. Position is full-time (39 hours/week) and subject to the TVöD/VKA public service collective agreement.
