Job Summary

As a Chemical Laboratory Technician at Hessenwasser, you will play a vital role in securing the water supply for over 2.4 million people in the Rhine-Main region. Operating out of the Central Laboratory in Darmstadt, you will be responsible for monitoring ground, raw, and drinking water quality using modern analytical equipment. Your day-to-day tasks involve determining organic parameters such as industrial chemicals, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals through gravimetry and chromatographic methods (GC/FID, GC/MS). You will manage the entire analytical process from sample preparation and data evaluation to implementing quality assurance measures according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standards. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA) or Chemical Laboratory Technician.

Experience

  • Professional experience in analytical chemistry, specifically in sample treatment and chromatography
  • Experience working within accredited quality management systems (DIN EN/ISO IEC 17025)
  • Experience using Laboratory Information and Management Systems (LIMS)
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and service-driven environment
