Job Summary
The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) is seeking a dedicated professional to join their Finance and Controlling department in Braunschweig. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and financial support for national and international research projects, specifically supporting the newly established 'HUMAN' program. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing project accounts in SAP, preparing financial reports and audits, and advising scientists on the appropriate use of project funds. You will act as a key liaison between the center, private donors, and public funding bodies. This position is ideal for someone with a background in business administration who enjoys analytical tasks and collaborative teamwork. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Business/Economics or a completed vocational training in commerce or administration.
Experience
- Professional experience in commercial or administrative project management
- Experience in handling third-party funded projects is highly desirable
- Several years of professional experience required if applying with a vocational qualification rather than a degree
- Experience using IT-supported commercial accounting systems, preferably SAP R/3

- The position is initially fixed-term until September 30, 2030, with the aim of extension. Location is Braunschweig, Germany. Candidates must be able to work within the TV EntGO Bund (E 9b) salary framework.
