Job Summary
The City of Wiesloch is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join their team, focusing on vital infrastructure projects. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, construction, and maintenance of municipal transport infrastructure, including bridges and noise barriers, as well as urban drainage systems, with a specific emphasis on heavy rain management. Your day-to-day tasks will involve coordinating with various administrative departments and utility providers, managing tenders and contract awards for engineering and construction services, overseeing contractors, and handling project billing. You will also contribute to budget planning through construction cost calculations and participate in inter-municipal mobility management initiatives. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Civil Engineering (Diplom-Ingenieur, Bachelor, or Master) or a comparable field, alternatively a successful qualification as a Construction Technician.
Experience
- Professional experience in project leadership and client-side roles (advantageous)
- Experience in civil engineering, traffic engineering, and urban water management (advantageous)
- Experience in public administration (advantageous)
