Job Summary

As a SCADA System Architect in Karlsruhe, you will be responsible for designing and developing secure, scalable standard solutions for SCADA systems that align with specific customer requirements and industry standards. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with bid management and sales teams to create project-specific architectures, technical descriptions, and bills of materials. You will act as a technical bridge, translating functional requirements into high-level acceptance criteria and training internal departments such as project execution and sales. This role is unique for its high level of stakeholder engagement and the opportunity to influence the technical direction of energy and industrial control systems. You will provide critical technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial bid to final execution, ensuring that all solutions integrate seamlessly into OT/IT environments while maintaining high availability and redundancy.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience as a Solution Architect, System Architect, Lead Engineer, or Project Manager
  • Extensive experience in the SCADA and Control Systems domain for energy or industrial applications
  • Proven track record in project execution and the preparation of technical specifications
  • Experience with redundancy concepts, high availability, and scalability in system design
  • Professional experience in bid management support and technical sales consulting
