Job Summary

As a System Test Engineer based in Gilching, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability of complex communication systems. Your daily responsibilities include building, maintaining, and documenting sophisticated test environments, as well as designing system and acceptance tests based on functional and technical requirements. You will perform field and system tests, analyze network protocols, and troubleshoot complex IP network structures in close collaboration with the Integration & Validation and development teams. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a comparable STEM subject, or equivalent technical vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist). ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification is preferred.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in software testing and verification/validation activities
  • Proven experience in operating complex IP network structures
  • Practical experience with network routing, switching, and tunneling protocols
  • Experience using testing and analysis tools such as Jira-Xray, IBM Doors, and Wireshark
  • Professional experience in structured documentation and analysis of test results
