Job Summary
The Catholic Parish of Ostfildern is seeking a dedicated Church Musician to strengthen and evolve its musical community. In this role, you will lead choirs, serve as an organist, and spearhead the development of new children's and youth choirs. Beyond traditional performance, you will act as a central coordinator for other musicians, mentor young talent, and design spiritual musical programs. A key focus of the position is community outreach, where you will network within the local social space to create cross-congregational events. This part-time, permanent position offers a high degree of creative freedom and the opportunity to shape the musical identity of the parish. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Church Music (B-Level) or an equivalent professional qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in choral leadership and organ service
- Experience in networking and the development of new community programs
- Demonstrated experience working with children, youth, and volunteers
- Proven organizational and leadership capabilities in a musical or parish context
Languages
Additional
- Membership in the Catholic Church is required. Must possess a valid driver's license (Class B). Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during school holidays is essential.
