Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Criminal Investigation Department (Inspection 8) in Pforzheim/Mühlacker with forensic evidence collection and laboratory analysis. As a Forensic Science Assistant, you will be responsible for securing physical evidence at crime scenes and within the forensic laboratory, conducting forensic identification procedures, and managing saliva sample monitoring. Beyond technical fieldwork, you will handle administrative tasks such as maintaining forensic diaries, managing equipment and hazardous materials, and ensuring compliance with accredited laboratory standards. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in chemical technology who enjoy a mix of hands-on technical work and organizational duties. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in the chemical-technical field (e.g., Chemical Laboratory Assistant) or a comparable recognized vocational qualification.

Experience

  • Successfully completed vocational training in a chemical-technical field or a comparable recognized vocational qualification
  • Professional experience working in an accredited laboratory environment is preferred
  • Professional experience in technical documentation and equipment management
  • Experience in forensic or investigative support environments is beneficial
