This role involves leading the digital transformation efforts within the Mettmann District administration. Working within the IT Steering and Digitalization unit, the successful candidate will act as a bridge between specialized departments and IT service providers to implement modern software solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing projects, analyzing and prioritizing technical requirements, optimizing business processes, and planning system rollouts. You will also be responsible for testing, acceptance, and ensuring that digital solutions align with legal frameworks like the Online Access Act (OZG). Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/FH/UAS) in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Public Administration; or completion of the second administrative qualification (Verwaltungslehrgang II).

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in administrative modernization, project work, business process management, or IT organization.
  • Proven experience in leading projects and coordinating between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with public administration workflows and digital service implementation.
  • Experience in conceptual work, presentation, and moderation.
