Job Summary

This role focuses on the operation and technical support of microwave radio systems for both client environments and internal laboratory settings. As a Microwave Systems Support Specialist, you will provide remote assistance for system installations, manage release and patch cycles, and evaluate security vulnerabilities (CVEs). Your daily activities will involve 2nd-level support, including ticket handling, error analysis, and occasional on-site maintenance or troubleshooting. You will act as a critical interface to 3rd-level manufacturer support and participate in structured project documentation. This position is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy a mix of remote support and hands-on field work, offering the stability of a permanent contract and the opportunity to work with high-end technology from leading manufacturers like Ericsson and Huawei. Participation in an on-call rotation is required to ensure system reliability.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in Telecommunications or High-Frequency Technology; alternatively, State-certified Technician in Electrical Engineering (Information/Communication) or completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT System Integration Specialist).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in the operation of high-frequency based telecommunications systems
  • Practical experience with microwave systems from manufacturers such as Ericsson, Ceragon, NEC, Huawei, Aviat, or SIAE
  • Proven experience in IP networking including Routing, VLAN, and Quality of Service (QoS)
  • Experience in 2nd level support and interfacing with 3rd level manufacturer support

  • Willingness to travel is required. Participation in an on-call rotation is mandatory. G41 medical examination for 'Working at Heights' is desirable but not mandatory.
