Job Summary

As a Hardware and Automation Service Technician at KBR, you will play a pivotal role in delivering smart energy management solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve the commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of electrotechnical systems both remotely and on-site at customer locations. You will be responsible for troubleshooting complex faults, performing mechanical and electrical modifications, and programming PLC controllers using tools like Siemens TIA Portal or Codesys. A significant part of the role includes developing HMI/SCADA visualizations and integrating industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and Profinet. This position is particularly attractive for those interested in modern automation trends, as it involves working with Node-RED and Linux environments. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable field (must include an electrotechnical qualification).

Experience

  • Several years of practical experience in a service or plant/industrial environment
  • Professional experience in PLC programming and automation architectures
  • Experience with visualization systems and industrial networks
  • Proven track record in troubleshooting and commissioning electrotechnical systems
