Job Summary
As a Fiber Optics Technologist at Laser Components, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between product development and manufacturing at the Olching facility near Munich. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve defining product and process requirements for fiber optic components, creating detailed technical specifications, and supporting the development team in qualifying new products. You will also provide critical cost estimates to the sales department and collaborate closely with production planning and quality management teams. Required Skills
Education
Master of Science (University or University of Applied Sciences) in Engineering or Physics with a focus on Fiber Optics and Optical Waveguide Technology.
Experience
- Professional experience and profound knowledge in the field of fiber optics
- Practical experience with process engineering sequences in a production environment
- Experience with software for designing, measuring, and evaluating mechanical and optical systems is highly preferred
- Professional experience in creating technical specifications and production documentation
