Job Summary

This highly selective 3-month internship at GlobalFoundries' Dresden site offers a unique opportunity to work within the Technology Architect Group (TAG) on the cutting edge of semiconductor research. As an intern, you will contribute to early-stage exploratory technology development focusing on Ferroelectric HfO2 Memory (FeFET/FeCAP), AI-accelerated device development, and 22FDX-based quantum computing concepts. Day-to-day tasks involve experimental development, material and device-level characterization, and analyzing complex electrical and reliability datasets. You will also assist in training neural models for semiconductor data and performing feasibility assessments for qubit architectures. Required Skills

Education

Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Semiconductor Devices, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience

  • Current enrollment in a university program for Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Semiconductor Devices, or Computer Engineering
  • Foundational knowledge in MOSFET physics and digital logic
  • Experience with technical projects involving AI tools, FPGA basics, or semiconductor device-related course projects is preferred
  • Experience with programming environments such as Python, C, or Arduino/ESP32 is an advantage
