Job Summary

As a Data Scientist within IBM's Consulting Client Innovation Center, you will leverage advanced AI and machine learning techniques to solve complex business problems for public and private sector clients, with a specific focus on the defense industry. Your daily responsibilities include the analysis and preparation of complex data sources, developing scalable machine learning pipelines, and implementing generative AI architectures such as RAG. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build, validate, and monitor predictive models. The role is highly technical, requiring the ability to cleanse data efficiently and communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position is unique for its focus on defense-sector challenges and the opportunity to work within IBM's strategic partner ecosystem, including Red Hat and major cloud platforms, to drive innovation in hybrid cloud and AI journeys.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred)

Experience

  • Professional experience in data analysis, preparation, and management of complex data sources
  • Professional experience in implementing and validating predictive and prescriptive models
  • Experience with DevOps and MLOps, including CI/CD pipelines and ML lifecycle management
  • Experience in programming or scripting with Java or Python
  • Preferred experience working with clients in the Public or Defense sectors
  • Preferred experience in designing and evaluating IT architectures with AI components
  • Preferred initial experience in leading technical teams
