Job Summary
This role is based at the University of Ulm's Technical Supply Center, where you will be responsible for the heating and cooling plant that services state properties and surrounding hospitals. Day-to-day, you will handle the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of medium-voltage (MV) and low-voltage (LV) switchgear and transformer systems. You will ensure supply security, troubleshoot electrical faults, and coordinate repairs. For candidates at the Master level, the role includes personnel management of subordinate staff. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed vocational training in electrical engineering, followed by further qualification as a State-Certified Technician or Master Electrician (Handwerksmeister/Industriemeister) in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience as a Responsible Electrical Supervisor (VNB) for medium and low-voltage systems
- Experience in energy supply facilities or building services installations within university or hospital environments
- Practical experience in control technology and building automation systems
- Leadership experience required for candidates applying at the Master Electrician level
