Job Summary

As a Commissioning Engineer for Power Supply, you will take independent responsibility for the commissioning of traction power substations across Germany, with a primary focus on the NRW, Lower Saxony, and Hesse regions. Working for a renowned rail vehicle company, your daily tasks involve overseeing final assembly, integrating systems, testing functions, and optimizing initial operations. You will be responsible for parameterization, conducting technical acceptance tests, and providing training to clients. Beyond initial setup, you will handle maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close coordination with project management, customers, and partners to ensure deadlines and technical standards are met. It is an ideal position for a proactive electrical professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on technical work, site management, and client interaction within the critical infrastructure and rail sectors.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable technical field with an electrical focus.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in electrical power supply or power transmission
  • Practical experience in commissioning (commissioning/Inbetriebnahme) is highly preferred
  • Proven experience working with transformers, switchgear, and low-voltage systems
  • Experience in creating technical reports, measurement protocols, and system documentation
  • Experience in coordinating with project management and external partners
