The City of Bocholt is seeking an innovative Electrical Engineer or Technician to join the Bocholt Building Management (GWB) team. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of electrical engineering projects, covering both high-voltage and low-voltage systems. Your day-to-day will involve planning, tendering, and supervising construction and maintenance measures for 77 municipal buildings. You will work independently within a team to manage external engineering firms, ensuring all projects adhere to public procurement laws (VOB, VgV), budget constraints, and strict timelines. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diploma/Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering or qualification as a State-Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical and data technology
- Experience in planning and construction management (Bauleitung)
- Experience with public procurement and contract law (VOB, VgV, GWB)
- Experience managing external engineering service providers
- Demonstrated experience in project cost calculation and scheduling
Languages
Additional
- Valid Class B driver's license required; willingness to use private vehicle for business purposes (with cost reimbursement); must be available for full-time or part-time work in Bocholt, Germany.
