Job Summary

Vibrosonic, a medical technology spin-off from the University of Mannheim, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their interdisciplinary team in developing the innovative Hearing Contact Lens®. In this role, you will work in a cleanroom environment to assemble micro-prototypes and small series of medical devices using microscopes and specialized tools. Your daily tasks will include the precise mixing and dispensing of adhesives and silicones, operating 3D printers, and meticulously documenting manufacturing steps to ensure full traceability. This position is ideal for individuals with exceptional fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination who enjoy working with components smaller than 1cm. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Laboratory Technician (Chemical, Biological, Physics), Microtechnologist, Precision Mechanic, Watchmaker, Dental Technician, or a similar technical qualification. Career changers or students are also considered.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a laboratory or precision manufacturing environment (e.g., as a Chemical, Biological, or Physics Lab Technician, Microtechnologist, or Precision Mechanic).
  • Experience in handling micro-components (<1cm) and working under a microscope.
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing or small-scale series production is preferred.
  • Background in related fields such as watchmaking, dental technology, or goldsmithing is highly valued.
