This role is based at the University Library of TU Braunschweig, contributing to the 'Hochschule.digital Niedersachsen' project. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a software solution to aggregate and manage publication metadata from open sources such as Crossref and DataCite. Day-to-day, you will collaborate with partner institutions in Göttingen and Hannover to identify metadata requirements, design web applications, and document development processes. The position involves conceptualizing workshops and participating in project meetings to promote results across Lower Saxony. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree, Diploma, or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Science, Applied Computer Science, or a related field with demonstrated IT proficiency.

Experience

  • Professional experience in processing and managing bibliographic metadata schemas
  • Proven experience in programming web applications using Java and JavaScript
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Practical knowledge of modern software engineering practices including CI/CD and Docker
  • Experience in conceptual, goal-oriented, and independent project work
  • Entry-level candidates with strong IT skills are also encouraged to apply
