Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg focuses on the development and administration of the ILIAS Learning Management System (LMS) server cluster. As part of a four-person team within the Media Center, you will be responsible for developing web applications in both front-end and back-end environments, managing software development projects, and providing technical support (2nd and 3rd level). The role involves configuring and monitoring system architectures under Linux and acting as a deputy for technical leadership. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Media Informatics, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT administration of the Open Source Software ILIAS
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in computer science or web development
- Experience in programming web applications using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and MySQL
- Experience in the configuration and monitoring of web architectures under Linux
- Experience in software quality assurance
