Job Summary

As a Senior Commercial Manager at ENERTRAG, you will lead the strategic and operational commercial optimization of wind and photovoltaic (PV) projects during their early development phases. Your daily responsibilities include identifying value-enhancement levers and risk-mitigation strategies, defining commercial requirements within the stage-gate development process, and managing the business case tools for early-stage projects. You will act as a key advisor and sparring partner for project development teams, ensuring transparency and comparability across the project portfolio. A significant part of the role involves collaborating with financing and executive boards to implement commercial strategies for the German market, exploring additional value potential like PPAs and sector coupling. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Energy Economics, Finance, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in project development, commercialization, portfolio management, M&A, or financing within the renewable energy sector
  • Proven expertise in developing robust business cases and interpreting financial models
  • Experience in portfolio or pipeline management, including making go/no-go decisions
  • Professional experience in cross-functional stakeholder management at the interface of development, finance, and strategy
  • Experience with hybrid projects, energy storage, or sector coupling is advantageous
