Job Summary

This role involves the comprehensive coordination of patient care at the Robert-Koch-Krankenhaus Apolda, an academic teaching hospital. As a Clinical Case Manager, you will be responsible for assessing the care needs and resources for complex patient cases, monitoring therapy progress, and managing length of stay. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with medical and nursing staff, managing discharge processes, and optimizing bed occupancy across various departments. You will also handle administrative duties such as coding admission diagnoses, identifying documentation gaps, and processing health insurance inquiries. This position is ideal for an experienced healthcare professional who enjoys a mix of clinical oversight and organizational management. Required Skills

Education

Certified Healthcare and Nursing Professional (Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger/in); ideally completed basic seminar as a Coding Specialist.

Experience

  • Completed 3-year certified training in Nursing or Healthcare
  • Several years of professional experience in surgical and/or intensive care settings
  • Professional experience in discharge management, social services, or case control is highly desirable
  • Experience with the DRG system and medical coding is preferred
  • Professional experience in interdisciplinary communication and self-organization
