Job Summary
As a Data and BI Engineer in the BI and Data Management team, you will serve as a central figure for data-driven solutions within construction project management and technical purchasing. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve developing and maintaining high-performance BI dashboards and reporting solutions that visualize key performance indicators (KPIs). You will act as a critical bridge between business departments and IT, translating operational requirements into technical concepts and coordinating IT demand management. The role is highly collaborative, requiring you to extract, model, and optimize data structures across a diverse landscape including SAP, SQL Server, and Databricks. This position is particularly attractive for those who enjoy driving digital innovation and system transformation within Germany's leading real estate group. You will have the opportunity to lead knowledge transfer sessions and training, ensuring the entire team remains at the cutting edge of data science and business intelligence technologies.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Data Science, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration (with IT/Data focus), Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- 3-5 years in Business Intelligence, Data Science, Data Engineering, or Data Analysis
- Professional experience working with SAP and SQL databases
- Experience in the development and optimization of reporting and BI solutions
- Proven experience in acting as an interface between business departments and IT
Languages
Additional
- The role requires the ability to conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions; must be able to work on-site in Bochum.
