Job Summary
As a Payroll Specialist in Wetzlar, you will be the central point of contact for all payroll-related activities, working in close coordination with the Human Resources department. Your daily responsibilities include preparing monthly payroll for employees, collecting and processing all relevant accounting data, and ensuring the timely transmission of information to external payroll service providers. You will also handle statutory reporting requirements and maintain professional communication with authorities, tax offices, and social security providers. Beyond routine processing, you will manage company pension schemes, support personnel administration, and assist with nationwide wage tax and social security audits. This position offers a permanent contract with a salary up to €55,000 per annum, flexible working hours with home office options, and a supportive onboarding process, making it an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking for stability and growth in a modern work environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed commercial vocational training, such as Industrial Clerk, Tax Assistant, or Office Management Clerk.
Experience
- Several years of practical experience in payroll accounting and personnel bookkeeping
- Professional experience as a Payroll Clerk, Payroll Accountant, or HR Administrator
- Proven experience in handling statutory reporting and communication with government authorities
- Experience in supporting tax and social security audits
