Job Summary
As an IT/OT Production System Administrator, you will play a critical role in the Central Electrical Engineering department of a leading lime industry company. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve monitoring OT security systems, servers, and infrastructure components within the production network. You will lead or contribute to IT/OT projects, implement security guidelines, conduct risk analyses, and manage production-support software solutions. This position is unique because it bridges the gap between traditional IT and industrial automation (OT), offering a high level of responsibility in a specialized industrial environment. You will also be responsible for user training, documentation, and incident response. The role is based in the Harz region and offers the stability of a large corporate group (SigmaRoc PLC) combined with a family-like working atmosphere and attractive collective bargaining benefits.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Automation Technology; alternatively, a state-certified technician qualification in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience in IT or OT administration
- Professional experience in monitoring servers and infrastructure components
- Experience in implementing IT/OT security guidelines and risk assessments
- Experience in supporting production-related software solutions
