Job Summary

As a Technical Assistant for Fault Location and Measurement Technology, you will play a critical role in ensuring the energy supply security for the city of Hamburg. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve providing measurement support across all voltage levels, preparing fault clearance measures using GIS systems, and analyzing network and plant data for deployment planning. You will set up specialized test and measurement circuits, analyze results to pinpoint faults, and utilize modern diagnostic equipment. Additionally, you will perform maintenance on fault location devices, conduct DGUV safety inspections on electrical equipment, and participate in on-call shifts to evaluate malfunctions across the network. This position is ideal for a technically minded professional who enjoys a mix of analytical data evaluation and hands-on field work within a stable, municipal energy provider environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training, ideally in the field of electrical engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a technical field, preferably within electrical engineering
  • Experience in network operations or measurement technology is highly desirable
  • Experience in evaluating technical malfunctions and fault diagnostics
  • Experience working with modern electrical testing and measurement equipment
