Job Summary

As a Communications Electronics Technician, you will play a critical role in the maintenance and operational readiness of public transport infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the installation, inspection, and repair of both mobile and stationary ticket machines, validators, and payment systems. You will work with a variety of hardware including PC systems, cash handling units, and change dispensers, performing systematic troubleshooting and component replacement both in the workshop and on-site at customer locations. Beyond physical repairs, you will be responsible for programming components, ensuring online connectivity, and documenting technical data. This position is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy a mix of hardware maintenance and IT-related tasks. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Communications Electronics Technician, Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, System Information Technologist, or a comparable technical qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the support, maintenance, and servicing of electronic devices and systems
  • Experience in systematic fault finding and diagnostic procedures
  • Experience working with hardware components and PC-based systems

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to work in shifts and participate in on-call standby duties.
