As a Materials Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of industrial infrastructure by performing non-destructive testing (NDT) on pipe connections. Your daily responsibilities will involve utilizing VT (Visual Testing), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), and PT (Penetrant Testing) methods to identify defects, followed by the rigorous evaluation and documentation of your findings. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Metalworker or Materials Tester specializing in Metal Technology. Ideally holds VT-2, PT-2, and MT-2 certifications.
Experience
- Professional experience in pipeline construction, plant engineering, or industrial/power plant environments
- Practical experience in performing and evaluating non-destructive testing procedures (VT, MT, PT)
- Experience in independent, customer-oriented field work
