Job Summary
This full-time, permanent role with the City of Northeim involves the independent management of urban redevelopment projects within the Urban Planning and Building Supervision department. As an Urban Redevelopment Officer, you will be responsible for developing action plans, maintaining cost and financing overviews, and processing grant applications. A significant portion of the role involves overseeing both public and private renovation measures and managing the departmental budget for urban renewal. This position is ideal for administrative professionals who enjoy a mix of financial planning and community development. The role offers the stability of the German public service (TVöD E11), including flexible working hours, mobile work options, and a comprehensive health management system. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Management Assistant in Public Administration with the Advanced Administrative Exam (Angestelltenlehrgang II), or a Bachelor's degree in Administrative Sciences. Alternatively, a degree in Business Administration (Diplom Betriebswirt), Law (Diplom Jurist), or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in municipal administration and administrative regulations
- Experience in information procurement and problem-solving within a legal framework
- Proven track record in negotiation and public-facing communication
- Desirable: Several years of professional experience specifically in urban redevelopment
- Experience in managing deadlines and public event attendance
