Job Summary

This role involves conducting physical initial sample testing of in-house and purchased components within a materials laboratory setting in Augsburg. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for planning investigations, taking samples, and performing comprehensive metallographic preparations including cutting, grinding, polishing, and etching. You will evaluate microscopic findings on both series and special samples and present these results to internal departments such as Quality, Engineering, and Heat Treatment. Additionally, you will coordinate mechanical-technological tests and ensure supplier documentation meets conformity standards.
