Job Summary
This role involves serving as a Technical Officer within the Electrical Engineering department for the Building Management division of the City of Hanover. You will be responsible for the conceptual design, planning, and construction supervision of electrical systems (power, lighting, lightning protection) and elevator systems across a diverse portfolio including schools, swimming pools, and administrative buildings. Day-to-day tasks include managing all HOAI phases, preparing cost estimates, handling tenders, and overseeing on-site construction and billing. The position also focuses on modernizing charging infrastructure and photovoltaic systems. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma) in Electrical Engineering or a related field; alternatively, a qualification as a certified Technician in Electrical Engineering.
Experience
- 3 years of professional experience in electrical engineering planning preferred
- Experience in managing projects through all HOAI phases
- Professional experience in maintenance and modernization of building properties
- Experience in coordinating multiple technical disciplines
- Practical or theoretical background in electrical systems for candidates with less than 3 years experience
Languages
Additional
- Must be physically capable of performing site inspections on construction sites, roofs, and technical centers, including the use of ladders and scaffolding. Open to both salaried employees and civil servants (Besoldungsgruppe A 12).
