Job Summary

This part-time Research Associate position (9.94 hours/week) is based in Düsseldorf and focuses on the 'KluGe' project, which addresses climate impacts and environmentally conscious property drainage. You will be responsible for the technical processing of topics related to pollutant prevention and contamination in water and wastewater. Your day-to-day role involves translating complex scientific content into accessible information for consumers, multipliers, and the general public. You will conduct presentations, seminars, and workshops in both physical and online formats while supporting communication teams with media contributions and social media content. This role is ideal for those passionate about environmental protection and consumer advocacy, offering a meaningful societal impact. The position is fixed-term from May 2026 to April 2027 and provides a high degree of flexibility through mobile work options and flexible working hours within a supportive, feedback-oriented culture.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's or equivalent) in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Civil Engineering (specializing in water/wastewater), or a comparable field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the field of micropollutants or nature/environmental education and information work
  • Experience in conveying complex technical content to diverse target groups
  • Experience in the conception and implementation of events or workshops
  • Proven experience in structured and solution-oriented project work
  • Experience in political interest representation and networking
